Carrie Stimmel, the head of agency partnerships at X has removed the company name from her LinkedIn biography and has told friends she is leaving the company.
LinkedIn lists her tenure at X as ending in December, just five months after joining.
Stimmel was most recently at NBCUniversal working in its ad division as chief growth officer, Olympics.
A source said she had told friends she was upset about Elon Musk’s comments that were described broadly as antisemitic. Musk later apologized for the post and visited Israel to meet leaders. It did little to quell outrage among advertisers.
Stimmel left NBCUniversal to join her former boss Linda Yaccarino - the ad chief who became CEO of X on the eve of the upfronts.
Stimmel did not immediately respond for comment. An eagle eyed former recruiter Nancy Levine Stearns shared the news about Stimmel’s LinkedIn change on X earlier today.
Now Stimmel’s bio references her skills as a transformational leader and revenue generator and her strong commitment to DE&I.
I reported last year that a group of former ad staff had quit the company after receiving end of year bonuses.
